Okay is it just me or…
Is the Monster Ball somewhat modeled after The Wizard of Oz?
I mean… The Glitter Way (yellow brick road?)… the rainbow… the twister… and in So Happy I Could Die she kinda looks like Glinda. And during Monster, the trees and stuff could kinda be that creepy enchanted forest where they meet the cowardly lion. And the Fame Monster during Paparazzi could be the Wizard.
Am I behind the times on this or…?
It’s not exactly “modeled” after the Wizard of Oz, but it was one of Gaga’s favourite movies (she adores Judy Garland to bits) and that’s why she makes references to it at certain points of the Monster Ball.
